Did you recently have a new HVAC installed?

So Cal HERS Raters provides duct testing service for compliance and quality control.

If a licensed C-20 contractor tells you that you don't need a permit, you don't need that contractor.

HVAC replacements in California Climate Zones 2 & 9 -16 require duct sealing with HERS verification when a component of the HVAC is replaced. 

So Cal HERS Raters will meet the installing contractor towards the final hours of their installation and perform the duct test. Should we encounter a failure, we will work with your contractor and help them find leaks visually using theatrical fog.

The results of the duct test are documented on the CF-4R and are made available for you to download from our website. These documents should be turned into the city inspector during final inspection.
